Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973, Spain) Poster design for Hispano-Americaine Exposition, Paris 1951. This is an original lithograph printed by Mourlot Freres, Paris in 1959. It contains a plate signature and is a miniature version of the original poster created for the 1951 Spanish-American exhibition at the Henri Tronche Galerie in Paris. The 7.5 x 5-inch image appears to be Don Quixote and Sancho Panza holding a dove of peace. Beautifully matted and framed, the work of art measures 17 x 15 inches. COA from Global Fine Art.
This lithograph was included in ‘Les Affiches Originales des Maitres de l’Ecole de Paris, 1959’ (‘Original Posters of the Masters of the School of Paris’), a book created to commemorate 25 years of posters printed by Mourlot.
