(After) Henri Matisse (1869-1954, France) “Still Life with Pomegranates” (Nature Morte Aux Grenades) – Plate-signed color lithograph after the original 1947 oil on canvas painting by Matisse, located at the Matisse Museum in Nice, France. Featured is a dish of pomegranates, placed on a table in front of a window with its frame allowing a glimpse of the palm-tree outside. The image was also used as a poster “Travail et Joie” (Work and Joy) to promote the city of Nice in The South of France. The work of art is 24 x 18 inches and has been matted and placed in a slim black metal frame measuring 30.5 x 24.5 inches.
