Jean Marais was a renowned actor, writer, artist and sculptor. His fame grew following his association and friendship with multi-talented artist, director, poet, writer, Jean Cocteau, and his portrayal of the beast in Cocteau’s 1946 film, “Beauty and the Beast.”
