Chess Strategy

Irving Amen (1918 – 2011, American) “Chess Strategy” – Limited edition color lithograph, pencil signed, titled and numbered (177/300) by the artist. The image measures 13.5 x 17.5 inches, and with the mat and frame, the work of art is 18.25 x 24.25. Depicted are two people playing chess surrounded by a group of onlookers.

In addition to sculpture and painting, Irving Amen was a master printmaker who produced thousands of woodcuts, etchings, lithographs, and serigraphs. Chess was among the many subjects of his artwork.
