Guy Buffet (b. 1943, France) “Monsieur Pierre” - Hand signed, limited edition color serigraph, circa 2000, with Certificate of Authenticity from Marco Fine Arts, printed by MFA Talon Graphics. The image is approximately 19.5 x 13.5 inches, and the 23.5 x 17.75-inch sheet has been matted and framed measuring 28.25 x 22.5 inches. Pencil signed in the lower right margin and numbered 198/595 in the lower right margin. Featured is a mustachioed waiter carrying a champagne bottle and a tray holding glasses and a bud vase. As a young man, the artist worked part time in his parents' family-owned restaurant, and he joined his personal experience and observations with his artistic ability in order to create post-Impressionist style images of restaurants, chefs, and waiters at work.
