Guy Buffet (b. 1953, France) "Scotch on the Rocks/Highland Golf" (1991) Hand-Signed in Pencil, Limited-Edition (486/500) Color Lithograph. The art measures 15 x 12 inches and with the linen matting and frame, the piece is 19.5 x 16 inches. The Highlands of Scotland provides some of the best golf courses and Guy Buffet created this humorous image of a Scottish man holding a golf club, seated on rocks, perhaps taking a rest between holes of his golf game. The image is one of four in the “Links Series” of golf-themed artwork that has been used on a set of salad plates made by Eschenbach porcelain in Germany. It is also featured on an oversized coffee mug from the GUY BUFFET Golf Art collection: “Old Men/The Pursuit of Leisure”.

Guy Buffet is known for his whimsical rendition of restaurants with their patrons and staff, landscapes and cities he has seen in his travels, and people; at times including such favorite images and themes as dogs and golfing.
