Untitled (from Tapis et Caries)

Pierre Alechinsky (b. 1927, Belgian/French) Untitled (2006) - from the suite of eight original lithographs created for his son, Ivan Alechine’s book titled, “Tapis et Caries” [Carpets and (dental) Cavities]. Limited-edition print, hand signed and numbered 75/90 in white chalk by the artist published by Fata Morgana and printed at Clot, Bramsen and Georges in Paris. The 9.5 x 6.7-inch sheet has been matted and placed in a 12.5 x 9.5-inch frame.

Pierre Alechinsky is associated with Abstract Expressionist, Lyrical Abstraction and the abstract style of art known as Tachisme. He was a member of the Cobra art group and is known as an engraver, graphic artist, painter, printmaker, and film maker.
