Still Life

Frank Gallo (b. 1933 - 2019, American) “Still Life” - Cast Paper limited edition sculpture, pencil signed and numbered (45/200). The paper measures 24 x 33 x 4.5 inches and is encased in plexiglass measuring 33.5 x 42.5 inches. The art has not been examined out of the frame but appears in very good condition however there is light wear to the plexiglass. Originally acclaimed for his epoxy sculpture, contemporary American artist Frank Gallo in 1977 began working primarily in cast paper, a technique he pioneered and taught in a program he helped create as head of graduate sculpture at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Cast paper combines the possibility of creating multiple images with the three-dimensionality of sculpture.
